Removals France Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is issued by Removals France in accordance with our commitment to ethical business conduct and respect for human rights. It describes the steps we are taking to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Removals France provides professional removal and relocation services for private and commercial clients. Our operations rely on a network of suppliers and contractors, including transport providers, warehousing, packing materials, facility services and other support services. We recognise that modern slavery and human trafficking can occur in any country and industry, and we are committed to doing our part to identify and mitigate these risks.
Zero-Tolerance Approach to Modern Slavery
Removals France has a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of modern slavery, forced labour, bonded labour, child labour or human trafficking. We do not knowingly engage with any organisation that is involved in or benefits from such practices. This expectation is clearly communicated to all employees, contractors and suppliers that work with or on behalf of Removals France.
Our leadership team is responsible for setting the tone from the top and ensuring that the prevention of modern slavery is embedded into our company culture, decision-making and day-to-day operations.
Policies and Governance
Our commitment to combating modern slavery is supported by internal policies that address ethical conduct, human rights, recruitment, diversity and inclusion, and whistleblowing. These policies guide how we select, manage and review suppliers, and how we support employees in raising concerns. Managers are required to act promptly if they identify or suspect any breach of these policies, particularly in relation to the treatment of workers within our supply chains.
Supplier Due Diligence and Audits
We are strengthening our supplier due diligence processes to reduce the risk of modern slavery in our supply chains. Before entering into or renewing a contract, we assess the supplier’s commitment to ethical labour practices, including compliance with local labour laws and international human rights standards.
Where appropriate, we conduct audits of higher-risk suppliers. These audits may include on-site visits, document reviews and discussions with management and workers to evaluate working conditions, recruitment practices and wage payment processes. If a supplier is unable or unwilling to address identified concerns, we reserve the right to terminate or not renew the business relationship.
Training and Awareness
We are working to build awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff, especially those involved in procurement, supplier management and operations. Training focuses on recognising signs of exploitation, understanding our policies and knowing how to respond to concerns. By improving awareness, we aim to ensure that potential issues are identified and escalated at the earliest opportunity.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Removals France encourages employees, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to report any concerns about potential modern slavery or human trafficking linked to our business. Individuals can raise concerns with their line manager, a senior manager or through our confidential internal reporting channels.
All concerns raised in good faith are taken seriously and investigated appropriately. We do not tolerate any form of retaliation against a person who reports a concern or participates in an investigation. Where necessary, we will work with relevant authorities or expert organisations to address substantiated issues.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We recognise that combating modern slavery is an ongoing process that requires continuous evaluation and improvement. Each year, Removals France will review this statement, our associated policies and our due diligence procedures to ensure they remain effective and proportionate to the risks in our operations and supply chains.
The annual review will consider changes in our business activities, emerging risks, feedback from stakeholders, and learnings from audits and investigations. Where areas for improvement are identified, we will update our practices and communicate relevant changes to employees and suppliers.
This statement has been approved by the leadership of Removals France and represents our firm commitment to playing an active role in the global effort to eliminate modern slavery and human trafficking.
